NOVEL BIOLOGICAL METHOD AND COMPOSITIONS FOR CONTROL OF FRUIT TREE CROWN AND ROOT ROT WITH ENTEROBACTER AEROGENES This invention relates to methods and compositions for the control and prevention of pathogenic crown and root rot disease in tree fruits by using of antibiotic resistant Enterobacter aerogenes as a biological control agent. Particularly, in one embodiment, the invention relates to the control of crown and root rot disease of apple trees caused by the soil-borne fungus Phytophthora cactorum.
