A vessel (1), open at the top, is closed by a cover (2) resting on the upper head of the vessel, and provided with an axially downwards protruding hollow portion (3), designed to hold doughy foodstuff, e.g. butter. The hollow portion (3) has a section not superior to the internal section of the vessel (1) and a height inferior to the internal depth of the vessel (1) so that the inferior end of the same portion does not touch the free surface of a refrigerating liquid (5) put into the vessel (1). |
