Method of dead time decreasing in Geiger-Muller counter characterised in that it contains a pseudothyristor consisting of quick high-voltage transistors (T1, T2), high blocking input of which (N) is directly connected to the anode (A) of the counter (DM), and low blocking input of which (P) is connected to the cathode (K) of the counter (GM) through the condenser (C2), and moreover, the input (P) is connected, through inductance (L1) and resistor (R3), to the circuit's ground and, through the resistor (R4), to the anode of diode (D3) which is polarized with the voltage (U) through the resistor (R5), supply point (+U1) is connected, through the resistor (R1) and diode (D1), to the anode (A) of the counter (GM), and through the resistor (R1) and diode (D2) and, through the condenser (C1), to anode (A1) of pseudothyristor, the cathode (K) of the counter (GM) is connected, through the resistor (R2), to the voltage supply point (-U2), and cathode (K1) of pseudothyristor is shorted with the circuit's ground.<IMAGE>
