<p>PURPOSE:To provide a lighting circuit device of a high intensity discharge lamp for automobile which can eliminate a reflected voltage owing to the inductance of the secondary side winding of a high tension pulse transformer at the starting of lighting when a current flows, and can simplify the pressure-proof and the insulating countermeasures of the component parts of the lighting circuit device, in such a lighting device. CONSTITUTION:A DC-AC converting means 31 to fix and release the operation of a polarity converter switch circuit 32 is provided to a control circuit 35, and a high tension pulse voltage is generated by the primary side winding of a high tension pulse transformer 34 to discharge a discharge lamp 4, so as to speed up the build-up of the light. And it is controlled to apply a DC voltage to the discharge lamp 4 to DC- drive, when a relatively large current is fed to the discharge lamp 4 at the starting of lighting, so as to eliminate an excessive reflected voltage at the polarity converting time generated resulting from the inductance of the high tension transformer 34, while converting to a normal AC driving when the discharge lamp 4 is in a stable lighting. Consequently, a lighting circuit device which can simplify the component parts of the polarity converter switch circuit 32, and the pressure-proof and the insulating countermeasures of a printed substrate can be obtained.</p> |
