PURPOSE:To provide the image forming method which can easily and stably form a high-quality image having an excellent resolving power and dot reproducibility by a dry processing and is particularly suitable for formation of a color proof. CONSTITUTION:This image forming stage consists of a stage for forming a latent image by imagewise exposing on the photosensitive layer of a photosensitive element having the photosensitive layer consisting of a binder exhibiting tacky adhesiveness at the time of non-exposing to active rays and non-tacky adhesiveness after exposing, a photopolymerizable monomer and/or oligomer, a polymn. initiator and a silane coupling agent on a base (a), a stage for laminating the toner layer 23 of a toner element 21 having the toner layer 23 on a base (b) 22 on the photosensitive layer formed with the latent image by face-to- face contact, a stage for forming the toner image on the base (b) 22 by parting the toner element 21 from the photosensitive element and further, a stage for transferring the toner image onto an image receiving element 31 having an image receiving layer 33 having adhesiveness on the surface on a base (c) 32 by bringing the toner image on the base (b) 22 into face-to-face contact with the image receiving layer 33 and parting the toner element 21. |
