PURPOSE:To feed a document in a prestep mode without any trouble even when a large-sized document coexists by providing a 1st control means and a 2nd control means inhibiting the supply of the next document when the document fed to a prestep position is equal to or larger than the half of the area of a platen glass. CONSTITUTION:In the case the large-sized document D2 coexists every even number, for example, the 1st document D1 is supplied and fed to an intermediate position IP, and the 2nd document D2 is supplied, then a main motor is driven to be normally rotated only for the duration of specified pulses and the document D1 is fed to an exposure proximate position SP. Simultaneously, the leading edge of the document D2 reaches the intermediate position IP, but the document D2 is large-sized, so that it does not slip out of a resist roller 90, and the supply of the 3rd document D3 is inhibited by judging that the document is large-sized according to the combination of the resist sensor and a timer at this time. The detection of paper jamming is also inhibited. In such a state, the document D1 is exposed. |
