PURPOSE:To speedily acquire proper time from the shared area of a main memory without necessity for a request source processor, which does not control a timer, to use interprocessor communication in an information processing system provided with a multiprocessor mechanism. CONSTITUTION:For every one second when time is changed, a time control processor 12 controlling a timer 11, for which minimum time counting is one second, for example, writes time in a shared area 13 of the main memory. A request source processor 14 not controlling the timer 11 reads time from the main memory shared area 13 twice, compares the time, judges that time reading is successful when the time is equal and repeats time reading until obtaining the same time when the time is different. |
