PURPOSE:To provide a radio selective calling receiver with a display device able to process synchronization between a reception signal of a receiver and a synchronizing clock not only at the time of reception of a preamble signal and to process re-synchronization processing as required. CONSTITUTION:A receiver is provided with a reception section 102 receiving and demodulating a radio signal, a decoder section 103, a control section 104, a speaker 105, an LCD 106, a clock synchronization circuit 107, an electric field detection circuit 108, a synchronization detection circuit 109 which detects a deviation between a digital signal 1 received by the reception section 102 and the synchronizing clock 2 and a synchronization control circuit 110 which controls whether or not re-synchronization processing by the clock synchronization circuit 107 is to be implemented in response to the reception electric field intensity detected by the electric field detection circuit 108 when a deviation between the digital signal 1 and the synchronization clock 2 exceeds a prescribed threshold level. |
