<p>PURPOSE: To facilitate the switching operation of a video camera by detecting presence or absence of the recordable tap of a tape by means of a microcomputer and setting a video mode or an exclusive recording mode by means of the detected signal. CONSTITUTION: All the functions of the system are initialized by the step of a preparation routine, and whether or nor a key to be inputted next exists is scanned. In this case, it is judged whether or not the inputted key is a power source supply key. When it is judged that the power source supply key is inputted, a housing is judged to be opened or not. Then, when the housing is judged to be closed, the recordable tap is judged to be mounted on a video tape or not. When the tap is judged to be mounted, an inputted video signal is processed by a recordable camera mode. When it is judged that the tap is not mounted on the video tape, the inputted video signal is processed by the video mode being a reproducing mode.</p> |
