LAYING METHOD OF SUBMARINE CABLE

PURPOSE:To provide a submarine cable laying method for constructing a highly reliable submarine cable facility in which suspension or kink of cable is prevented by directly monitoring the state of cable being laid in the sea or in the bottom of sea thereby controlling the speed of cable laying vessel or cable feeding speed. CONSTITUTION:When submarine cable laying work is performed, a cable distortion distribution measuring unit 5 for measuring distortion of a cable 3 in the longitudinal direction thereof monitors distortion of the cable 3 in the sea or in the bottom of sea and tensile force being determined by the distortion. Speed of cable laying vessel 4 or feeding speed of the cable 3 is then controlled so that suspension or kink of cable does not take place.
