PURPOSE:To freely alter the diameter and height of a fin, and the number of such fins, and the pitch of the fin by arranging a plurality of rows of units formed by folding a metal fine wire in a zig-zag manner on a flat plane substrate member, and cutting the tip end of each unit parallely. CONSTITUTION:As a fin, there is used one formed by winding a metal fine wire 1 spirally or in a zig-zag manner and folding the metal fine wire 1 processed as such at a predetermined interval into a unit 2. The units 2 are disposed in a plurality of rows at a predetermined interval on a flat plate-shaped substrate member 3 such as an IC substrate, and are joinned with the substrate member 3 through means such as brazing, soldering, and bonding. After the joining, the tip end of the unit 2 is cut parallely to the substrate member 3 with its one end joinned with the substrate member 3 and its other end forming a pin-shaped heat radiation fin. Upon the cutting, the fin is prevented from being bent by filling the fin with low melting point metal and the like for fixing thereof and melting the low melting point metal after cutting the tip end thereof. |
