PURPOSE:To obtain a dictionary construction support device which can reduce man-hours for generating/editing the dictionary of a user when a parallel translation related on a special field is especially constructed. CONSTITUTION:A word segment processing part 33 segments an original sentence word from the original sentence of multiple parallel translated data stored in a parallel translation data storage device 31. A sentence number fetch processing part 34 extracts the sentence numbers of all the original sentences using the original sentence words which are segmented, and a character string retrieval processing part 35 retrieves a translated word corresponding to the original sentence work which is segmented from the translated sentence corresponding to the original sentence of the sentence numbers, and counts the appearing number. A parallel translation candidate generation part 36 selects the parallel translation candidate of the respective words by the cooccurrence appearing frequency of a character string included in the original sentence of the parallel translated sentence and the known translated sentence. A dictionary editing part 38 indicates the parallel translation candidate which the parallel translation candidate generation part 36 selects to the user. |
