The adjusting block permits the coupling of the articulator to a top jaw model via the same impression plate. The condylar posts are each fitted with a marked plate element in the sagittal plane. On association to the lower jaw model, the same plate elements are aligned with those fixed at the articulator via a thin check bite. Then the real hinge axis is recognisable by using a thick check bit. This is followed by articulation via a laboratory transfer arch. USE/ADVANTAGE - For large dental prosthetic work, with simple hinge axis location, and time reduction.
