Machining position cooling during chip removing machining - adds defined vol. of cooling lubricant to supplied air stream in front of machining position

The cooling process is particularly for machining metal workpieces (4) by a rotary tool, using a cooling air stream supplied to the machining position (5). To the air stream, supplied by a pipe (6), is added a defined vol. of a cooling lubricant (7) as droplets prior to its impingement on the machining position. Pref. the cooling lubricant is applied by an injector. Another pipe (12) blows air at the tool position. The other pipe lies in the tool peripheral direction closely in front of the machining position. USE/ADVANTAGE - For grinding etc. with efficient and reliable cooling.
