[Class 79'(iii).] A view-obstructing blind adapted to be drawn down and secured in position in front of or behind the windscreen to prevent unauthorized use of a motor vehicle as described in Specification 375,801, is protected against forcible displacement by metal guideways g fixed to the side members e of the windscreen frame in which the lateral edges of the blind run and a horizontal grooved metal bar h secured to the upper portion of the dashboard i in which the lower edge of the blind engages, so preventing ready insertion of a tool between the wind-screen and blind. A locking plate k secured to the lower edge of the blind passes through an opening in the bar h into a box m containing a spring bolt operated by a Yale (R.T.M.) or other type look. The blind, which may be of flexible material or formed of hinged metal slats, is mounted on a spring roller b supported at its ends bl in a metal casing c carried by brackets d welded or screwed to the upper part of the windscreen frame.
