The data transmitting and receiving arrangement is formed as a housing (6) of the same type as a diskette. The housing contains a magnetic head (9). The magnetic head is arranged in the housing such that it is aligned with the read-write-head (4) of the disk drive (4) when the housing is inserted into a disk drive of the computer. The magnetic head is connected to the electrical conductors over which the signals to and from outside are transmitted. ADVANTAGE - Provides improved and simplified accessibility.
