A gear assembly for driving a driven member having a substantially circular recess. The gear assembly comprises a plurality of gears adapted to be arranged within the recess. One of the gears is in the form of an annular gear adapted to be arranged around the circumference of the recess. The gear assembly is adapted to be connected to a drive means for driving the driven member. The gear assembly is particularly suitable for use in a potters wheel, in which case the driven member is in the form of a turntable. |
