The present invention is related to a seed coating which is beneficial for the germination of seeds. A polysaccharide derivative hydrolysate, especially a hydrolysate of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) or carboxymethyl starch (CMS), is used as a binder, which is capable of binding pesticides and herbicides and talcum as a thin, even and unspotty film. In the method according to the invention the binder can be sprayed on the seed as a concentrated water solution, preferably a 30 % (w/v) solution. |
