PURPOSE:To provide a liquid for manually wiping and finishing an optical component, an electronic component, etc., or for extracting water and drying those components, free from destruction of ozone layer or attack on those components and excellent in the drying rate. CONSTITUTION:As this manually wiping or drying liquid, an azeotropic or pseudoazeotropic composition composed of a hexamethyldisiloxane and methanol or of a hexamethyldisiloxane and 2-propanol is used. As the hexamethyldisiloxane, one having 0.65CSt (25 deg.C) viscosity is used. The hexamethyldisiloxane is free from decomposition of ozone layer or attack on the wiped material. The azeotropic or pseudoazeotropic composition composed of the hexamethyldisiloxane and methanol or 2-propanol is low in boiling point and free from causing residue on evaporation thereof. |
