PURPOSE:To set up a fense element for regulating a clipping area by an optional curve and to clip an optional graphic element as an optional shape. CONSTITUTION:A fense element setting means 31 specifies a fense element for regulating an area for clipping graphic data. A graphic element dividing means 32 divides a graphic element intersecting with the set fense element by the intersecting point between both the elements and generates a new element. A graphic element inside/outside judging means 33 sets up the intermediate point of each graphic element as a point to be judged, judges the inside/outside of the graphic element by the passing frequency of a boundary between specific adjacent quadrants at the time of tracing the around of the fense element in a rectangular coordinate system obtained by setting up the point to be judged as an origin and marks the inside or outside element. A graphic element extracting means 34 extracts only the graphic element marked by the means 33. The extracted graphic element is supplied to various processing such as plotting/editing processing, output processing and display processing. |
