Infrared panoramic surveillance device comprising a head objective (1) connected to an image separator (15) to form several detection channels capable of projecting partial images on detection bars (21, 22), offset along the elevation angle axis SS', via recovery objectives (161, 162). The elevation angle shift (161, 162) of the bars (21, 22) causes the scanned fields to partially overlap in the elevation angle. The image separator (15) can be composed of two plane mirrors (151, 152) with a common parallel edge to the elevation angle axis SS'. Application in long range of aerial targets detection with high angular coverage.
