METHOD FOR MAPPING OBJECT POSITION IN CAMERA IMAGE AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING OBJECT

PURPOSE:To map an object position in a camera image by rapid and simple calculation even when a camera parameter is changed and to easily execute identification for searching the object. CONSTITUTION:In a mapping method for mapping an object position in a three- dimensional space from the input image of an object photographed by a television(TV) camera connected to a computer, the object position is mapped by a polar coordinate system expressing a camera position as its origin by means of the coordinates (x0, y0) of a vertex in a camera image display range 4 as a two-dimensional coordinate space, coordinates (x1, y1) indicating an object image 5 in the range 4 and a camera parameter such as the picture angle of the camera.
