<p>PURPOSE:To acurately detect the existence of an object even when the brightness, background, etc., of an input image is changed. CONSTITUTION:A reference image storing part 5 stores a previously inputted bright reference image 51 and a dark reference image 52 e.g. having a different condition and formed by a reference image forming part 6 from the image 51. An image input part 1 inputs an image photographed by a camera. A feature amount calculating part 2 compares the reference images 51, 52 with the input image and calculates feature amount. An object judging part 3 judges the existence of the object based upon the calculated result. By the way, a reference images having different backgrounds or the like can also be used in addition to the reference images for brightness.</p> |
