Two-way valve with an adjustable, pressure-independent closure time in which a hydraulic pressure balance (22) is incorporated in a first control pipe (11) in front of a stop (12), and in a second control pipe (17). The pressure balance consists of a displaceable piston (13) in the bore of a housing (23). The housing has a connection (P2) for the first control pipe (11) and a first annular chamber (24) to receive the control pressure (px). USE/ADVANTAGE - Pressure limiting valve in which the adjustment of the closure time is effected independently of the prevailing control pressure.
