The fryer incorporates an annular part (1), between the opening of the inner (2) container and housing (12), which has an inner peripheral fitment (5) and outer collar (24). The back of the annular part has a horizontal radial extension incorporating a downward pointing compartment (7) containing two vertical parallel, radially outward pointing walls (8) forming an entry for a metal bar (11) hinging the lid (13) to the housing. The bar fits into a stepped ridge (10) and has side arms (14) whose free ends (15) are screwed (16) to the lid. The bar is held by a small plate (18) which has two small inner lower partitions (19) and which presses into a back window (20) and into a front window (23) by a tooth (21) joined to an elastically deformable vane (22). USE/ADVANTAGE - The fryer lid is easily removed.
