The audio system integrates medical measurement equipment for physical quantities such as pulse rate, blood oxygen, carbon dioxide, alcohol and other levels, blood velocity etc. together with a tape player unit. When a physical quantity is being measured, the control unit outputs the measured value in speech form at regular intervals, corresponding to successive measurements.
