PURPOSE:To improve the man-machine interface of the video conference device by improving the access time of still picture information and document informa tion. CONSTITUTION:This video conference device is provided with a storage part for still images and documents, a low-speed transmission channel which exerts no influence of the transmission of a speech and a moving picture on a multiplexing part 16. The still pictures to be used for a conference are previously stored in a storage device 15 and still picture data base of both terminals are mutually transmitted and exchanged by utilizing the free time right after the conference starts. When the image data bases which are made common are retrieved, an identification number is only transmitted to call and display an image from the storage part of each terminal. |
