PURPOSE:To obtain a safe noncombustible composition at low cost by a method wherein the constitution of noncombustible plastic magnet composition is composed of specific quantity of modified polyphenylene ether resin, ferrite and non-halogenated noncombustible agent. CONSTITUTION:The title noncombustible plastic magnet composition is composed of modified polyphenylene ether resin of 20 to 50 pts.wt., ferrite of 40 to 80 pts.wt., and a non-haloganated noncombustible agent of 2 to 20 pts.wt., and the modified polyphenylene ether resin is the composition of polyphenylene ether resin and rubber reinforced polystylene. The rubber reinforced polystylene is the resin in the state wherein conjugated diene rubber is contained in a stylene polymer as a reinforcement component. Also, beryllium ferrite and strontium ferrite are used as the ferrite. As a result, a safe noncombustible plastic magnet can be obtained at low cost. |
