[Also in Division C2] Pharmaceutical preparations suitable for combatting internal parasites, e.g. cestodes, nematodes, trematodes (particularly liver flukes), contain as active ingredient compounds of the general formula I '(including salts thereof wherein R is a hydrogen atom or an acyl radical, R, and R 2 signify hydrogen, alkyly or alkoxy (R 2 may also be halogen), R 3 , R 4 and R; signify hydrogen. halogen, alkyl, hydroxy, alkoxy, nitro, haloalkyl, alkylmercapto or acyloxy and X and Y signify hydrogen, halogen or nitro and with the provisor that X and Y cannot in the same compound both be hydrogen and that when X is hydrogen Y can only be chlorine or bromine if each of the substituents R 3 , R 4 and R 5 is different from' the other two. Salts are those formed with bases such as sodium and potassium hydroxide ethanolamine, diethanolamine and piperazine.
