Quaternary ammonium salts represented by general formula (I) and use thereof as medicines, wherein R<1> and R<2> represent lower alkyl groups which may be the same or different from each other; R<3> represents hydrogen, lower alkyl, etc.; A represents lower alkyl, etc.; Q<-> represents an anion; X represents (a), (b), etc.; Y represents methylene, oxygen or sulfur; Z represents (c), etc.; l and m represent each an integer of 1 or 2; and n represents an integer of 1 to 3.
