PURPOSE:To provide the consecutive format synthesis pictures by requiring the minimum reading number without taking into account the timing of changing originals. CONSTITUTION:A format synthesis mode is selected. (Step 3) Copying is started. (Step 4) First, the format original is carried to the exposure position and saved in a memory 2. (Step 8) The image data of the format original of a memory 1 and the 1st image data of the 2nd original of the memory 2 are synthesized to be saved in a memory 3. (Step 10) The synthesis image data of the memory 3 are read out to form the synthesis image. (Step 11) The 2nd piece of the 2nd original is carried to the exposure point to be stored in the memory 2 at the point when the synthesis processing of the 1st original and the 2nd original are completed and stored in the memory 3. Thus, the consecutive synthesis processing is performed while performing the reading of originals the n-th and later and the synthesis of the 1st original and the n-1th original in parallel. |
