PURPOSE:To reproduce optimum audio data with full of presence in response to number of speakers possessed by the user at that point of time by commanding the selection of the operating mode to an operating mode changeover designation means based on the result of detection of a broadcast mode of an audio signal to be received or on the selection by the user. CONSTITUTION:The system is provided with a 2CH/nCH conversion means 1201 converting received 2-channel voice data into n-channel voice data and outputting the data, an nCH/2CH conversion means 1202 converting received n-channel audio data into 2-channel audio data and outputting the data, and a selection circuit 1203 selecting either one of both the conversion means. Let the value (n) be a variable value being 2 or over. Then the system is further provided with a broadcast mode detection means detecting whether the audio broadcast mode is the 2-channel mode or the n-channel mode and the selecting operation of the selection circuit 1203 is selected based on the result of detection. The user sets the value (n).
