<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a rope cut during rope extension work from running away by providing a device with a rope stopper section and a rope abnormality detecting section and by applying the pressure of gas produced by explosion of explosive to an elastic body so as to plastically deform the body when the cut of the rope is detected. CONSTITUTION:This device is for use in a power transmission cable extension work in which a power transmission cable is connected to rope 1 and the power transmission cable is drawn via pullies from the drum field for the power transmission cable to the engine field for taking up the transmission cable. A rope abnormality detecting section 6 is made of an abnormality detecting roller and an abnormality detector 10 so that a rope connecting section 1C can pass therethrough well. A rope stopper section 7 consisting of a rope clamp 14B, a rope clamp 14A, an airtight bag 13, and explosive 12 inside the bag 13 receives an abnormality signal from the cable 11. This explosive 12 causes the explosive 12 to explode to inflate the bag 13, so that the cut rope can be prevented from running away.</p> |
