PURPOSE: To enable converting an analog signal to a digital signal every specified time without interposing a CPU. CONSTITUTION: When a timer value of a timer part 305 matches a value set in a compare/capture partξm (m=1, 2, 3,...n), a drive signal is sent from the compare/capture partξm, and A/D conversion operation is performed by an A/D conversion part 303. Thus, the processing of performing the A/D conversion every specified time is easily and flexibly realized compared with the A/D conversion based on the conventional timer interruption processing of the CPU.
