PURPOSE:To reduce power cosumption by preparing a power supply to a part to be required for upating independently of a power supply to other devices, and after updating all channels to be updated, turning off the power other than the power supply necessary for updating. CONSTITUTION:A power supply 21 supplies power to an image output device 13, a sound output device 14 and a display part 23 and a power supply 22 supplies power to blocks other than the blocks receiving power from the power supply 21. In a stand-by state, a control part 20 turns off the power supply 21 and allows a broadcasting station indicating 'YES' for a supplied individual packet existence signal 17 to select a tuner 11. An ID number comparator 18 compares the ID number of the supplied individual information with an ID number written in a ROM 19, and when both the ID numbers coincide with each other, the control part 20 writes necessary contract information in the ROM 19. Thereby even when a listener does not use a receiver, the individual information of all pay broadcast can be efficiently received, updating processing can quickly be executed and power consumption can be reduced. |
