OUTDOOR TYPE OPTICAL RECEIVER

PURPOSE:To share conductors to speaking conductors and status signal transmitting conductors in a CATV system for transmitting a video signal by an optical signal through an optical fiber cable including plural conductors and optical fibers. CONSTITUTION:At the time of setting up an optical receiver 11, an intercom 17 is connected to a terminal 16 and a change-over switch 15 is switched to an intercom side contact (b). A CATV center 1 is also switched to the intercom side to execute talking. At the time of normal operation, these change-over switches are switched to the contact (a) side to monitor the status of the inside of the optical receiver 11.
