<p>A compound having anthelmintic and/or nematocidal activity, having general formula (I) or (II); wherein X and Y which may be the same or different, each represents a heteroatom; R1, R3 and R4, which may be the same or different, each represents H or alkyl or aryl; R2 represents H or alkyl or aryl, or W; the group A...B completes a carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring, which may be substituted; and W represents a protein residue linked through an amine group, or a group of the formula -OR5, -SR6 or -NR5R6, wherein R5 and R6, which may be the same or different, each represents H or alkyl, or R5 and R6 together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached form a saturated 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic ring which may be substituted and may contain one or more other hetero atoms. Anthelmintic and/or nematocidal compositions and methods of treatment are also disclosed.</p> |
