A touch-sensitive switching array has a single body of insulating material (12) in contact with a plurality of conductive elements (15, 16) each connected to a respective switching circuit (18, 19) operable to commute between conductive and non-conductive states in response to a change in the charge state of that part of the insulating body in the immediate vicinity of associated conductive element so that a sequence of switch operations can be performed by touching selected areas of a panel or surface of the insulating body. |
