The snow chain wheel is used in a vehicle. The spring storage cylinder (5) is joined to the chain wheel (7) via a four-linkage rod. A drive rocker arm (1) is eccentrically connected with the piston rod (6) of the cylinder. A control rocker arm lever (3) is also provided, and a coupling connecting rod (2) linked to both free ends of the levers (1,3) is lengthened over the linkage point (H) such that the chain wheel is fixed to the lengthened ends. USE/ADVANTAGE - Snow chain of simple and reliable construction which requires less storage room in vehicle.
