<p>The process for separating comminuted plastics is characterised by the following stages: dry and wet comminution, separating off foreign substances, separation in an air classifier of films from dimensionally stable particles, introduction thereof into a stirred vessel for homogenisation with a separation medium, pumping off into a separation vessel having a vertical riser pipe and exit of the mixture in a deflected horizontal direction into an outwardly expanding space which is formed from the angle of conical parts standing one above the other and a theoretical line between the apexes of the boundary lines of the conical parts, which represents a geometric space in which the flow velocity decreases, from which the particles enter into a cylindrical space and separate with a float or sink velocity, the density of the separation medium being between the densities of the plastic particles of different chemical compositions and densities and then in the same manner a further separation as far as into single-component fractions is carried out, and sub-assembly for carrying out the process.</p> |
