<p>A microprocessor comprises an instruction decoder (12, 13) provided for each pipeline to generate a control signal for each pipeline, a micro-ROM (14) which generates control signals for the pipelines at one time, and a selection circuit (15...17) to select an output between the instruction decoders (12, 13) and the micro-ROM (14).
