PURPOSE:To provide the audio and video device which selects one of pieces of video information. CONSTITUTION:This audio and video output device is equipped with a video signal conversion part 3 which converts character information 2 into a video signal and outputs it, a synchronism control part 4 which outputs audio information 1 and the character information 2 synchronously, a video information source switching part 11 which switches and connects plural video information sources 9 and 10, and a superimposing part 6 which superimposes the character information 2 converted into the video signal upon the video information 5; and one of the pieces of video information is selected according to a switching command and then the video information, character information, and audio information are outputted. |
