<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a base for a photographic printing paper excellent in a water resistance, a brightness, a surface smoothness and a rigidity and, at the same time, enabling prevention of a winding habit with lapse of time and, moreover, excellent in a tear resistance. CONSTITUTION:The base for the photographic printing paper is formed by coating one side face of a base paper with a compsn. in which titanium oxide is mixed and dispersed in polyethylene phthalate or mixed resin of polyethylene phthalate with another resin and, at the same time, by coating another side face of the base paper with a compsn. in which inorg. particles and/or org. polymer particles are mixed and dispersed in polyethylene phthalate or a mixed resin of polyethylene phthalate with another resin, and a ratio of amount of inorg. particles and/or org. polymer particles to the total amount is to be in a range of 1-20 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. polyethylene phthalate or the mixed of polyethylene phtalate with the other resin.</p> |
