<p>PURPOSE:To optionally select the number of sample points of data when an approximate value of an optional point between two points is found with an interpolation instruction. CONSTITUTION:An instruction operand which is inputted from an input device 2 contains immediate data (k) indicating the number of data sample points for interpolation and the number of sample points of the data is denoted as 2<k>. Interpolation calculation is carried out according to fA(Xi)=Yn+(Yn+1-Yn).(Xi-Xn)/2<k>; and the value (Xi-Xn) is represented with (k) bits at this time and the number of data sample points is operated according to the precision of the data. Consequently, when the data precision is low, a shift process is reducible and the execution time of the instruction can be shortened.</p> |
