PRODUCTION OF CRIMPED SYNTHETIC FIBER

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a water-cooling type method for crimping a synthetic fiber, capable of producing a high-grade product improved in after treatment properties without applying an after oil. CONSTITUTION:In applying a heating fluid stream to a synthetic fiber yarn for pushing the synthetic fiber into a compression chamber and for simultaneously giving crimps thereto by heat treatment and then fixing the crimps by cooling with water, an aqueous emulsion lubricant containing >=30wt.% lubricating agent and >=20wt.% emulsifier exhibiting 40 to 80 deg.C clouding point is applied to the synthetic fiber yarn. Thereby, the ratio of coming off of the lubricant in water cooling can be reduced and an after oil is not required.
