发明名称 SCREW PROPULSION DEVICE WITH CURRENT FAIRING MECHANISM FOR OUTBOARD AND ONBOARD ENGINES
摘要 PURPOSE:To generate large water flow energy for a remarkable increase in propulsion force, and restrain the roll and pitch of a hull due to turbulent flow state by turning the turbulent and diffused state of a water flow due to a rotating propeller blade into laminar and centralized state with a current fairing plate. CONSTITUTION:When this device is applied to an outboard engine, a current fairing device 30 is provided immediately near a position in rear of the propeller blades 17 of a screw propulsion section 3 under the outboard engine. This current fairing device 30 is constituted of a longitudinal current fairing plate 31 and a transverse current fairing plate 32 assembled like parallel crosses. The current fairing plates 31 and 32 are respectively of rectangular flat type, and formed to be as thin as possible within a range not providing resistance against a water flow. Also, the plates 31 and 32 are laid along plane orthogonal with propeller blade surface within a range not substantially exceeding the diameter of the propeller blades 17, thereby enabling the plates 31 and 32 to internally form closed divisional space K. According to this construction, turbulent flows are received with the plates 31 and 32 for rectification, thereby paralleling water flow directions.
