<p>PURPOSE:To precisely detect the upper limit of a discharge tray even in staple mode and stack discharged sheets in an optimum position without clogging near a discharge hole by providing a contact piece for detecting the upper limit of the discharge tray from the thickness of the staple part of a bundle of discharged paper. CONSTITUTION:A discharge tray sensor has an after-treating device 41 capable of receiving sheets carried from a body device and stapling them; and a freely rising and falling discharge tray 44 for receiving the sheets discharged from the after-treating device 41, and the height of the discharge tray 44 can be detected. In such a discharge tray sensor 120 for copying machine, an actuator 121 has a contact piece 122 for detecting the upper limit of the discharge tray 44 from the thickness of the discharged sheets consisting of single sheets. Further, the actuator 121 has a contact piece 123 for detecting the upper limit of the discharge tray 44 from the thickness of the staple part of a bundle of discharged sheets consisting of a plurality of stapled sheets.</p> |
