<p>PURPOSE:To accurately and sensitively detect the breakage of a stave pipe in early time by beforehand mixing the fixed quantity of carrier gas into a gas collector before sampling and purging the remaining gas in a sampling line after executing CO detection. CONSTITUTION:A cooling water in a circulating tank 3 is supplied in the arrow mark direction by the circulating pump 4, and after cooling the stave 2 in order, the cooling water is returned to the circulating tank 3 through a cooler 5. If there is some doubt about the breakage of the stave pipe 6, preceding to the gas sampling, nitrogen gas is forcedly supplied and mixed into the gas collector 8, and after increasing the whole gas volume, the sampling is executed through a CO detecting device 9 to execute the CO detection by a CO detector. When the CO detection completes, the remaining gas in the pipe of the sampling line is purged out of the system by supplying the nitrogen gas. By this method, the breakage of the stave pipe 6 can be detected at the initial stage.</p> |
