A setting accelerator for powder or liquid type shotcrete is composed of 75˜95 wt.% of a mixture comprising 20˜50 wt.% NaAlO2, 10˜30 wt.% Na2SiO3, 25˜35 wt.% Na2CO3, 20˜35 wt.% Ca(OH)2 and 5˜10 wt.% K2CO3, and 5˜25 wt.% of a mixture comprising 5˜15 wt.% polyethylene oxide, 10˜30 wt.% Na2SiO3, 50˜85 wt.% high purity silica fume powder. It is used in a mixture of 15˜20 wt.% cement, 30˜40 wt.% coarse aggregate and 40˜50 wt.% fine aggregate, and its w/c ratio is 0.3˜0.5. It makes good initil strength, dust prevention, rebound reduction and improved strength.
