PURPOSE:To provide a method to easily connect a semiconductor laser beam source with a wave guide layer with high accuracy in an integrated pickup using the waveguide layer. CONSTITUTION:A waveguide path 5 is provided with a reflecting film 20 to reflect the waveguide beam emitted from a semiconductor laser 10 and sent to the path 5. Then the light reflected by the film 20 is led to the photodetectors 6a-6d so that the positioning is secured between the laser 10 and the path 5.
